The Diocese of the Bathurst is introducing a new initiative known as The Ministry Formation Program (MFP). The program intends to inspire and equip men and women to work in different forms of ministry across the Diocese. This formation will give them a basis for ongoing development to support the mission of the local church. This will enhance existing ministries for parish liturgies, hospital, aged care and prison visitation and catechesis of adults and children. It will enable us to expand services in areas such as funeral and bereavement teams and university ministry.

The MFP is aimed at men and women who are willing to undertake a program of spiritual, academic, human and pastoral formation part time, over a period of 18 months to two years. Successful participation of this program will result in a recognised qualification within the Diocese of Bathurst.

The first part of the program will be a series of enquiry and introductory sessions with Bishop Michael and the formation team, to be held on:

Saturday 22nd July from 10.30am – 12.30pm at the

Cathedral Parish Centre, Bathurst

There will be an opportunity to participate by video conference for those wishing to participate from other locations.

Each session will offer the opportunity to find out more and will give you information about the next steps involved in participating in the MFP. All sessions will be held from 10.30am – 12.30pm.
